8th Graders Going to FLOW!

This week some of our 8th graders are headed to FLOW at Chewonki! FLOW stands for "fundamental learning on water." It is a week long salt water canoe trip that represents the collaboration of local businesses, the school district and the Chewonki Foundation. Look for updates as the week goes on!!

From Monday, October 2:

Yesterday was a full day of paddling and settling in. Today we started the day exploring our island and then paddling out to a neighboring island to do the same thing. Wonderful weather and company!Canoeing 2017      group 2017

From Wednesday, October 4:

Last night we had a campfire on the beach under the full moon. Today we paddled in sight of the Woolwich Rt 1 bridge and saw seals, eagles and even a baby snake that let us take pictures of it. We're doing journal work now and look forward to enjoying our last night on the island.
