At Dike-Newell School, we proudly use PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) to encourage and recognize students' success with meeting school expectations. Our three school "rules" are to Be Kind, Be Safe and Be Responsible. We start each day talking about those rules and what they mean, and what they look like.
As we get into the school year, we recognize students with Bee Tickets when we catch them showing kindness, safety, and respect. They turn these tickets into their classroom teacher. When their classroom teachers gets ten tickets, they get to put a class bee in our School Hive. When our Hive is full, we have a school-wide celebration!
We have already filled our hive this year and on Thursday, 10/11, we celebrate with PJ Day. More celebrations will come this year - we can't wait!
